  • General Public Fares: $1.00
  • Adults 65 & Older, Persons with Disabilities** and Medicare Card Holders: Free
  • Children 12 & Under: Free (when accompanied by an adult)
  • Radford University: RU ID Card Radford University Students, Faculty & Staff: No charge when proper RU identification is presented.
Exact fares only. Passengers are required to have exact fare when boarding buses. One dollar bills and coins are accepted. Drivers do not carry money and cannot make change.

**Persons with Disabilities means those individuals who, by reason of illness, injury, congenital malfunction, or other permanent or temporary incapacity or disability, including those who are non-ambulatory wheelchair-bound and those with semi-ambulatory capabilities, are unable without special facilities or special planning or design to utilize mass transportation facilities and services as effectively as persons who are not so offended. Those who are not eligible are individuals whose sole incapacity is pregnancy, obesity, acute or chronic alcoholism or drug addiction, or have a contagious disease. Financial need is not a consideration.

Single Ride Passes

Transfers to Another Bus Route

This image displays a Radford Transit transfer slip Transfers are available for one-time use and must be used the same day of service! So you live off of West Main Street and wish to shop at Kroger in Fairlawn? You’ll need a Transfer Slip to go from the Route 30 Cross City bus to the Hub, where you’ll connect and transfer to the Route 20 New River Rapid bus. Transfer slips are available at no additional cost for passengers who need to take more than one bus route to reach their final destination. Transfers cannot be used for a return trip on the same bus from which they are issued. Ask the bus driver for a transfer slip when you pay your fare if you need one. Your transfer slip is only valid for 1 hour after the time stamped. Once your transfer expires, you must pay for another single ride fare.
