Route 40 NRV Connect

Express service to Radford, Christiansburg, Megabus, and Blacksburg areas.*

Route 40NRV Connect has two buses that run along this route.

Thursdays and Fridays Route - The 2:40 pm route begins at the Hub and goes straight to the Falling Branch Park & Ride at Exit 118 on I-81 to connect with the Megabus. From there it heads to the New River Mall in Christiansburg, then on to Kmart as it makes it way up RT 460 towards Blacksburg. It arrives at Virginia Tech's Squires Student Center, then makes it way down South Main Street heading back into Christiansburg to stop at Kmart, and the New River Mall before heading back down Peppers Ferry Rd. towards the Hub.

Saturdays Route - The 10:40 am route begins at the Hub and heads to the New River Mall in Christiansburg, then on to Kmart as it makes it way up RT 460 towards Blacksburg. It arrives at Virginia Tech's Squires Student Center, then makes it way down South Main Street heading back into Christiansburg to stop at Kmart, and the New River Mall before heading back down Peppers Ferry Rd. towards the Hub.

Sunday Route - Route 40NRV Connect heads down I-81 to the Falling Branch Park & Ride to connect with the Megabus at 2:20pm to bring the passengers to the Hub before it ends it service.

*Please note that Route 40NRV Connect does not run when RU is not in session.
