Radford Transit wishes your trip to be a successful one. Here we provide the route maps, and schedules for the five (5) different Radford Transit lines.
Step 1: First identify your destination and locate the bus which travels closest to that point.
Step 2: On the route map you will notice that each bus line is a different color and most meet at a centralized transfer point called the Hub in downtown Radford at the intersection of Main Street and Tyler Avenue. Select the line of your destination and then determine which one passes nearest your starting location, if the lines are the same color it’s just one bus!
Step 3: If they are different colors, note the transfer location on the map and be sure when you board the bus to let the driver know you will need a transfer slip.
Step 4: Next it is important to determine what time the bus will pass your stop, simply refer to the route timetable for this information or you may contact our office for assistance at 540-831-5911.

Once you have determined when and where to catch your bus, go to the nearest bus stop about five (5) minutes before the bus is due and wait for it to arrive. Bus operators will only stop when they see people waiting at a bus stop sign to board, or when passengers need to get off, so it’s important that you are at your bus stop before the bus is due to arrive.
As the bus approaches stay back from the curb for safety and wave your hand to signal to the driver that you wish to board. Note that buses are only permitted to stop at designated bus stop locations. Once the bus departs the stop the driver is not allowed to open the door until the next stop, please be mindful of this and remain safely at the stop for the next bus.
When you board the bus please have exact fare ready. If you need to transfer be sure to let the driver know when you board the bus.
