Community Services

Crime prevention, community education and community participation are the cornerstone of the outreach provided by the Community Services function of the Administrative Unit. Community Service Programs are established to promote education, crime prevention, citizen safety and community partnership with law enforcement and citizens within these arenas.

Programs

Community Services consists of a variety of programs developed for our citizens, adult and youth alike, including:
  • Business Watch
  • Citizen Trails and Parks Watch
  • Citizen’s Police Academy
  • Halloween Safety Watches
  • Neighborhood Watch
  • Radford Youth and Adult Partnership (RYAP)
  • TRIAD
Presentations are available through Community Services and are presented by personnel with specialized training in a variety of areas. A Request for Crime Prevention Services may be submitted online.
